Timothy R. Ellison

TIMOTHY ROBERT ELLISON, son of Hilda Ellison and the late Henry T. Ellison, was born on February 24, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life unexpectedly at St. Agnes Hospital on January 14 2019 with his family by his side. Timothy, often called "Slim" and later "Big Tim," received his education in Baltimore City Public School System. He loved basketball and was a force on the basketball court and according to him "something to be reckoned with." He was recruited to play at CCBC, where he played for two years. Sports were his thing. There were not many sporting events he would not watch. The Baltimore Ravens was his team and he loved watching tennis. Timothy was also a history buff and would watch the history channel all day. He could tell you about his favorite era, WWII. You could make him out of the crowd due to his 6'7" presence. However, he was known for his sense of humor and life of the party persona. He was known as "the greatest dancer." He loved having a great time with family and friends, but you had to be prepared for the friendly Timothy banter that came with "the greatest dancer." When he wasn't shouting "wooooooo" in getting prepared for a Ravens football game on Sundays, he would watching his kids play in coed basketball league. He enjoyed coaching AAU basketball and attending high school games. He was a mentor to a lot of kids, especially the ones that reminded him of himself in his younger days. He did not ever have to command respect, he simply earned it. Timothy worked at many jobs, but the two that were most rewarding and special to him was The ARC OF BALTIMORE and part-time with The City of Baltimore as a crossing guard. He loved working with kids and clients with special needs. Timothy leaves to cherish his memory for eternity: his soul mate and the love of his life, Francine Kane; two daughters, Shea Ellison and Jennifer Chester; three sons, Michael Ellison, Brian Ellison, and Timothy R. Ellison Jr.; sisters, Maarcelena Moore, Cheyenne Burts and husband Stanley, Vickie Whitehead and husband James, Rosie Spriggs and husband John, late sister, Annette Ellison; brothers, Joseph Daniels, Darryl H. Ellison and wife Shanyce and late brother, Eugene Washington; three grandkids, oldest Bryanna Fisher. He also leaves behind a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighborhood kids, friends, co-workers, family and his long time best friend Jule Perry.
