Sentoria Winder

Sentoria Vernatae Yuchelle Winder (better known as Torrie), was born January 6, 1970 in Baltimore, MD to the late Elizabeth Jones Allen and Johnnie Gaither. She was called home to rest in the Father's arms on the morning of March 25, 2017 at the age of 47. Torrie was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. She was an extraordinary student. She was a graduate of Walbrook Senior High School and would later go on to become a prized student at the Baltimore Studio of Hair Design. She drew numerous customers to her Ashburton Street home to have their hair styled, demonstrating her jazzy and "fly" expertise. She was always known for her neat and creative hair styles. Styling hair was an art that Torrie was passionate about. She always made sure she had fun, and that the customer was always satisfied. She dedicated the rest of her life to bringing the best out of people and exploring cosmetology. She always trusted in God, had faith; she knew that God has always had a special plan for her. Torrie met James Christopher Harrington and they blessed with a beautiful and talented son, Devin Christopher Harrington; She was extremely proud of the fine young man he had become. Torrie always making everyone giggle, and being the "life of the party ". However, she was absolutely head on serious when it came to styling hair and doing make-up. She had a heart of gold and always ready for a hug, greeting you with a famous "hey baby!" Torrie is loved by a host of family friends many of her friends share loving memories of her. Ronette Holmes has been a dear friend of Torries' for at least 29 years; she says, "I will always miss her . My heart breaks for you all's dad and Devin. Sentoria leaves to mourn: her wonderful father , M. Johnnie Gaither, one loving son, Devin Christopher Harrington, seven sisters; Vonzella Reaves, Sindia Arrington, Valencia Winder- Tabb Deborah Gaither- Monroe, Yvette Gaither, and Deanna and Melissa Gaither, She also leaves behind a large number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. She was preceded in death by brothers Gregory Jones Regustus and Johnnie E. Gaither.
