PFC Saije Anthony Daniel

PFC(Private First Class) Saije Anthony Daniel, was born March 28, 1998 to Anthony Lamont Daniel and the late Tian`na Shantae Jones. His paternal grandparents George and Mary Daniel, maternal grandfather Tyrone Goins and maternal great grandmother Annie J. Haskins, uncles Willie 'Cool Shank' Howard and Patrick Goins, cousin Antonio Daniel proceeded him in death. Saije loved spending time with his family. Everyone who spent time with him knew you had to have a lot of energy to keep up with him. Throughout his life, Saije was about happiness and having fun. His infectious smile would brighten up a room. He absolutely loved to eat. He was known for his appetite and emptying the refrigerator...even if it wasn't his home. Saije was an avid fashion guru. He made sure all his clothes flowed together before he wore them and took great care of his clothes at an early age. It wasn't any surprise that he won best dress several years in a row throughout middle and high school. At an early age, Saije displayed his high level of athleticism. At Fairfield Middle School,he wrestled and played football. He went undefeated at wrestling and started honing his football skills. He started at Highland Springs High School in Fall 2011. He joined the football team and participated in track and field. He went on to collect a slew of medals and individual accolades in several events. As a Springer, he helped lead the team to its first state championship, which was one of his proudest moments. Saije was later selected to play for the North All Star team, something he really enjoyed. He graduated proudly from Highland Springs High School in 2016. After high school,he worked several jobs, but the one he enjoyed the most was construction. While working construction, he became interested in the military. He dedicated a lot of time and effort to research the benefits of the army before he decided that is what he wanted to do. Once Saije wanted to do something that he was interested in, he asserted the appropriate discipline and focus to be successful at it. He joined the army in August 2018. He graduated boot camp in November 2018, which was another one of his many proud moments. With hard work and dedication, he was promoted to PFC(Private First Class) just recently. Saije was loved by so many and touched so many hearts. Anyone that met him...never forgot him. Saije is survived and leaves to cherish his memories to his siblings, Korynthian Jones and Infinity (Xavier) Daniels; aunts, devoted Mary Lundy, devoted Bessie (Phillip) Carlye, devoted Cherri Daniel, Trina Ford, Georgia Jackson, Kourtnae J. Hall (Arthur) and Jacqueline Jones; uncles, George E. Daniel, Lewis Jackson, Charlie (Maria) F. Jones and Casper C. Jones; grandmother, Karen J. Goins; grandfather, Roger L. Gilmore; great grandmother, Lenora T. Gilmore; step grandmother, Loraine Jackson; great aunts, Gennieve Barnes, Hannah Jenkins, Quency Mosley and Delphine Gilmore-Watson; great uncle, Leroy (Gladys) Howard; nieces, Navaeh Daniels and Kinsley Beals; nephew, Jaden Jones; close cousins, Caryn (Danielle) Battle, Trevor White, Latonya White, Shirely (Ervin) McBride, Shartek (Stacey) Woodson, Shereeta (Aswad) McLane, Shanell (Jermaine) Day, Rodney Barnes, Gregory Howard, Lemont Howard, Shartek Woodson Jr., JaNiece Woodson, Stephon Woodson, Kyrsten Jones, Tavian, Quentin and Kamyrn Jones; grandfather, Roger L.
