Rosyln Dove

ROSLYN CARTER- DOVE, affectionately known as “Peaches” was the daughter of Emma Carter and Eugene Carter. She was born on December 13, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland and departed this life on April 6, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She received her education at Eastern High School in Baltimore, from which she graduated in 1979 and then went on to further her education by attending the Baltimore City Community College where she received higher education, experience and training. She received several forms of certifications in the areas of Hospitality, Management and Environmental Services. Over the course of twenty-three years she worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor for the Marriott Inner Harbor Hotel 1983-1998, Mariner Health as the Assistant Director of Environmental Services 1998-2000, Hampton Inn Glen Burnie as Director of Housekeeping.2000-2002, BWI Sheraton Hotel as Housekeeping Supervisor 2002-2004 and Broadway Services Inc. at Johns Hopkins Hospital Supervisor of Environmental Services Department 2004- September2010. Roslyn also had a creative side to her and as a result she became Owner/CEO of her very own business, Gift Baskets For All Occasions which allowed her to also share her creations with the world. She married the former Richard L Dove, and out of this union Richard embraced Roslyn's only two son Devon Lane and Davon Carter as his very own children. Roslyn made numerous friends wherever she went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her. She also had a special and best friend who stuck by by her side in her final years who supported, brought joy tender loving care, happiness and peace of mind to her, “Mr. Cleveland Chavis” Mr. Cleveland Chavis we thank you for all that you have done in love and support of our family members. Roslyn was also a God loving woman who loved the North Carolina and South Carolina Beaches along with the wonderful-loving moments that she spent with her grandchildren, Naevon Lane, Kamaya Carter and Davon Carter, Jr. Roslyn had one sister, Luvenia Carter, who preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn: mother, Mrs Emma Carter; father, Mr. Eugene Carter; son, Davon Lane and Davon Carter; brother, Clifton Carter, James Carter and Igar Carter; nieces Latrice Wallace, Lakish Wallace, Skylar Carter, Brittany Carter and La Shelle Tatum; nephews, Corey Manning, Erick Howard and Damond Wallace; sister-in-law, Ernestine Carter, and a host of other relatives and friends
