Regina LaVette Parker

We are gathered today to celebrate the homegoing of Regina Lavette Parker, who on April 5,2012 departed this life for a far better one. A place with no pain, suffering or misery, a place where she has found rest and eternal peace Regina Lavette Parker was born February 19,1960 the ninth of fifteen children to the late Mr. Willie Albert and Mrs. Viola Parker. Regina or Jean as we all called her was on loan to us, and when you have a debt to pay. Now Jean has paid her debt in full. Regina went to Baltimore public schools. She met Tommie Jenkins and they were together for 30 years and remained together to death they did part. From this love for each other was born a daughter, Shalkima, The love they had for their daughter wassomething to behold. Shalkima and her grandchild was all she talked about. Jean had plans for her grandchild. Shalkima need not worry, for she will be with you when you give birth. Shalkima saw the pain and suffering her mother was going through. She was an extra feisty, kind good person and never thinking of herself. A very uplifting, outspoken,minded woman in body and soul, Jean was always laughing and joking with that big pretty smile. Shalkima talked to her mother and told her that she, her grandchild and Tommie will be alright. Sadly, Shalkima asked her mother to let go. Our heavenly Father took her by hand. She let go, she will suffer no more. She leaves behind to mourn: Mr. Tommie Jenkins of Baltimore, M's Shalkima Jenkins (daughter) of Baltimore, Mr.Durell Wooden (son-in-law) of Baltimore, M's Tomasina Jenkins (stepdaughter), four sisters, Mrs. Linda Proctor of Baltimore, Elder Sharon Pollard and Laura Parker both from Winston Salem, North Carolina and Gail Parker from Philadelphia, PA , five brothers, Mr. Tony Parker, Mr Kevin Parker, Mr. Darryl Parker, Mr. DuWayne Parker and Mr. Willie Parker, Five siblings preceded her, Brenda, Mavin, Carolyn, Tia and Debbie, Six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, Meliss Smith her best friend and Shawanna Jackson her goddaughter. To Dannett, her niece who is a very special person who came from North Carolina to care for her and family, Bless you Dannet for everything that you have done.
