Randolph Scott

On Monday, January 17, 2005, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ reached out His hand for his son, Randolph (“Randy”) Scott, Jr. He was born on September 30, 1976, in Baltimore, Maryland to Randolph Scott, Sr. and Roslyn Spence-Cousins; he was their only son.Randy and his mother moved to Richmond when he was two years old. At an early age, he attended church and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized. He then became a member of First Baptist Church at age eight. Randy attended school in the Richmond Public School System, along with his sister, DeLise and brother, Cory. During his mid-senior year of high school, he elected to complete his education at the Greensville County High School in Emporia in 1994. After an academic graduation from Greensville, he entered into the United States Marine Corps. Randy received several honors and the proud rank of Lance Corporal. After leaving the Marine Corps, he returned to his home in Chesterfield to work in his stepfather Royal’s family owned business as a cable TV and telephone contractor.Randy’s kind, loving heart stemmed from his beloved deceased grandfather, Dallas Spence, who affectionately called him “Chupchak”. This bond caused Randy to be a loving son, faithful brother and trusted friend to all on God’s earth. He would truly protect and lay down his life for his loved ones and friends.Randy was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Elsie Spence; devoted uncle, Ronald L. Spence and his older brother, Andre` Royal Cousins. He leaves to cherish memories of his life, his father, Randolph Scott, Sr.; mother, Roslyn Spence-Cousins; stepfather, Royal Cousins, Sr.; grandmother, Bernice Scott; brothers, Royal Cousins, Jr. and Cory Cousins (Michelle) and sister, DeLise Cousins. Surviving uncles include Alphonso Spence (Sandra), Dallas E. Spence, William Scott (Deborah), John Scott (Jewel), Vernon Scott (Hortense), Ralph Scott (Lelia), James Cott, and Melvin Scott (Eunice); aunts include Brenda Spence Glass, Carolyn Valdes (Paul), and a host of other aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, devoted cousins, nephews, nieces, a special devoted friend, Erica Rowe and other close personal friends.
