Pamela Nicholas

Pamela Arlene Nicholas daughter of the late Joseph L. and Edith Thornhill Nicholas was born November 7, 1960 in Washington, D.C. While resting in bed at Maryland General Hospital, early morning, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 God sent his angels to peacefully take Pamela to her heavenly home. After the death of the Mother, Pam came to Baltimore to Live with her Aunt (Mother) Pauline C. Hargrove. One brother, Joseph L. Nicholas and two sisters Jacquelyn Thornhill Dixon and Carolyn Reed preceded her in death.Pamela was baptized at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. She was educated at St. James-St. John’s catholic school before going to Baltimore City public schools where she graduated from Eastern High School. Pam also attended Sojourner Douglas College, Dunbar Campus.Pamela was a very loving and giving person. She gave and provided for her children, unconditionally. Not only did Pam give to her children, but for a while she was a part-time day care provider. Pamela also worked for the Baltimore City Health Department as a Healthcare Advocate. Her spirit was very vocal and she gave much of her time to the church and community. Most recently Pamela lent her time and talents extensively to New Life Evangelical Baptist Church, pastured by Rev. Milton Williams. Most of her attitude was given at birth by family origin.Pamela followed the word of God as best as she could throughout her life. No one can describe a mother’s worth,, caring and love without thinking of her. Let Pam’s life be an inspiration to all of us.Pamela leaves to cherish her memory five children, Marian Edith Vaughn (Warrick Cunningham, Sr.), Krsytal Vaughn, Lloyd Jones, Jessica Jones and Jennifer Jones three grandchildren Warrick Cunningham, Jr., Morgan Cunningham and Jayden Knox; Brothers; Fred Brown-El (Rachel Horton-Fiancée), Aaron Nicholas, Sr., William Hargrove, Sisters; Rebecca Nicholas Credle (Eryc Credle) Blanche Anderson, Theresa Baker, Rebecca Ramsey (Malcolm); Mary Cobb and her every faithful Pauline (Polly) C. Hargrove, Godchild Krystle Fisher, Rodney Jones, Stepmother Cassie Nicholas Greene, her Friday night partner Janice Hargrove and a host of cousins and friends.
