Michelle Renea Ford

MICHELLE RENEE FORD born on February 10, 1959 to Ruby Harris and Harold Ford in Baltimore, Maryland. Her parents migrated to Brooklyn, NY where she grew up at and received her education in the New York school system where she excelled in her studies. She went on to obtain many degrees from Westbury University in the State of New York, which led her on her career journey with working for the State of New York. Michelle worked for the New York City Department of Human Resources for twenty-six years, where she developed many close relationships with her co-workers who turned into best friends and family. She retired from the State of New York at the age of 62 in 2021 leaving behind a legacy and family that she had built as a union worker down to a supervisor. She left an impressionable impression on everyone. She was a wonderful woman of God with a heart of gold. If ever anyone needed or asked for help if she could help she would do so to the best of her abilities. Michelle was a woman of style and fashion who loved to shop like it was in her blood line. She also loved traveling and visiting family just as much as she loved to shop. Before Covid she was a very involved individual with her community, youth group and music band under the non profit organization called Five Divisions Inc. She also managed an entertainment group called the TOA (Touch of Ambience). She was also a faithful member of the St. Paul Baptist Church where she became a diamond member. Michelle did not have any kids of her own but she was a mother figure to many children. She had a great love for her nieces and nephew who she also looked at as her own children. She leaves behind: her Aunt Gloria Beverly; godmother, Namoi Edwards; second mother, Pealine Ford; four sisters, Crystal Ford, Camille Ford Aris, Kimberly Ford, and Kristina Ford Dunlap; three brothers-in-law, Kevin Russell, Andre Aris and Bobby Dunlap; close friends (like brother and sister), Gerald and Millicent Imes; niece, LaShae Russell; nephew, Lance Russell; godson, Terrence Edwards; great-niece and -nephew Jahlil, Aamilah and Amir Russell, along with a host of other great-nephews, family members and friends.
