“Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.” ~Author Unknown~ Our beloved LaTasha Lynn Tyler was born on August 10, 1977 and having lived a rich life in the name of peace, love and joy, peacefully transitioned to a much better place on August 29, 2013. She accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and attended Good Sheppard Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. She attended and graduated from Atlee High School in1995. During her time in the Hanover School system, she met her life-long friends, Shakita Fox and Theresa Brooks. Soon after graduation, she made a courageous vow to serve in the United States Army. LaTasha was able to tour Germany and earn certification in culinary arts. Once returning back to the states, she started a career in the banking industry. She worked for Bank of America and Sun Trust for a number of years doing something that came easy, helping people. She worked in the student loan department at both banks. She earned many awards for her customer service and for providing outstanding customer service enthusiastically. To cherish LaTasha Lynn’s life, she leaves her loving son, Didier Tristan Tenkeu (Jean Tenkeu, his father); devoted parents, Alonzo and Sarah Tyler; caring sisters and brother, Monique Tyler-Dean (James Dean), Kimberely Tyler-Clark (Aaron Clark), and Alonzo Tyler, Jr. She also leaves a number of aunts and uncles, Mary Ruffin, Nell Thorne, Eva Lee, Reba Wright, Verna Bryant, Susan G. Burnette, Eddie Bryant (Mildred), Freddie Bryant (Linda), Roy Bryant (Pat), Todd Bryant (Fay), and one special aunt who would devote any amount of her time to LaTasha, Lynda Green; her godparents, Eddie and June Pearson; godsister, LaShea Pearson. Tash and Shea grew up together and were very close. She has a host of cousins, other family and friends whom will forever miss and love her. LaTasha was courageous and fought until her last breath. She will always be remembered for her sweet voice, beautiful smile and positive attitude. Her Legacy of Rememberance LaTasha was an outstanding example of a very giving human being whom always managed to somehow put others beyond herself and her needs. She cared deeply for her friends, family, and all of her loved ones to a great extent. LaTasha gave love to everyone around her. Our LaTasha was a true reflection of God’s love! LaTasha was a hard worker that never complained. She cherished life and all that it stood for. No matter what she went through, she continued to hold on to her faith. LaTasha touched so many in so many ways and will be truly missed by all, however don’t fret. She will always be with us deep in the recesses of our mind and in our hearts until we too die and meet her in the afterlife. We will never allow the light to flicker and continue to carry her torch to eternity. Come Home and Rest God saw you getting tired and He did what He thought was best. He put His arms around you and whispered “Come Home To Rest”. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
