Kevin Franklin Ewell

Kevin Franklin Ewell, Sr., beloved son of Doreatha Ewell, and William Emerson (known as Abu- the Flute Man). He was born on January 16, 1969, and departed this life on August 2, 2002. Kevin was educated in the Baltimore City Public School Systems. He maintained A’s and B’s consistently making the honor rolls. Kevin truly loved learning. During his lifetime he met Shanya and together they Keauna. Later on he met and married Selina Pace. (Bea). Out of this union they had 3 kids- Kevin Jr., Kierra and Kenneth. Kevin was always telling corny jokes that we all would laugh at. He was into basketball where his skill of the game prompted folks to say that he could have played professionally. He had a smile that would light up a room when he entered it. Kevin had a heart made up of gold and pure love. When asked for his help he would unselfishly do the task. His personality was remarkable and he was loved by all that knew him. Kevin was a meticulous house cleaner. Doreatha and Adriene always could use his help in getting the job done. Kevin thought the world of his mother and sister. He truly loved his entire family, so much that at the Family Reunion and New York City he had this to say. “I wish that my family would stop arguing with each other, because we only have this one day to together. So let’s just enjoy each other’s company. Kevin found his niche in being a professional cleaner. He wanted a trophy with a golden broom on it. He was excellent in helping his father as a stagehand. Abu (his father) hopes that we will all pray forgiveness of Kevin sins and on the day of judgement God will bless him for all the good that he’s done. In his last days, Kevin attended the obedience Church of God with Pastor Catherine Wiggins officiating where he surrendered all to God.Kevin is survived by a loving and devoted mother and father, Doreatha Ewell And William Emerson (Abu); three sons, Kevin Jr., Kenneth and Keyshawn; two daughters, Keauna and Kierra; six sisters, Adriene, Tonja, Tina, Khateeta, Ghajiibah, Aisha, and Fatima; two brothers, Kcaremba, Eric; grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Ewell; grandfather, William Emerson, Sr., three uncles, four aunts. A special friend, Gloria, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
