Irene E. Logan

On February 4, 1920, Irene E. Logan was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late William and Jenie. She was affectionately known as “ Granny” to all. Irene received her education in the Catholic School in Baltimore City. There was an early call on her life to help others. No task was too large or too small for Irene. She was not impressed or influenced by titles. To her, everyone was God's children. She loved her god and served him and she loved her family and served all of them. She spent her life working in the health field and all over this area you can find someone who was touched by the hand of Irene Logan. She worked as a chambermaid in the local hotels in Baltimore and spent most of her years working as a nursing assistance at Keswick Nursing Home. She retired from Deaton Medical Center in Baltimore. She met and married William Harrison Logan and from this union 3 children were born, William Harrison, Jr., Irene Elizabeth Ushry and Charles Millard Logan. Everyone knew Irene loved and adored her children and then along came the grandchildren and she loved and adored them even more. She was a faithful sister-in-law, Mrs. Helen Logan. There were no limits to what she would d for somebody else, including family and friends. She was a faithful and devoted member of St, Ambrose Roman Catholic Church. She attended services regularly and served whenever she could. She also attended services at New Creation Christian Church, where many thought she was a member. She also attended church with her youngest son, Charles Logan at Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church. She traveled extensively. She visited Israel, the Grand canyon, and all across the United States. Michelle Obama would love Irene because she loved to move. At her present age she could still leave other on the dance floor. She leaves to cherish her memories her three devoted children, William Logan, Jr., (Betty), Irene Ushry (Frank), and Charles Logan; stepchildren, Michael Logan (Deborah), Juanetta Bethea, the late David Logan and Gregory Logan; grandchildren, Patricia, Ryan, Lavaria, Manetta, Tomasa, Dayton, Antonese, Cynthia, David, Tanisha, Dineka, Rhonda, Renea, Christina, David,Jr., Clarence, Shanell and Jamal, 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She Also had a devoted godson, Larry Prudie
