Harold Lee Johnson

Harold Johnson son of the late Charles Johnson and Pearl Johnson (Vickers), was born on September 3, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland. Rooted in faith, Harold gave his life to Christ at an early age and he was baptized at the age of 7. He later joined First Apostolic Church, which would remain his spiritual home throughout his life. His quiet strength, kindness, and humility were reflections of faith that anchored him. Harold attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Fairmount Hill High School in 1979. The same year, he made the honorable decision to serve his country. He joined the United States Army and proudly worked as a heavy equipment Mechanic After completing his military service, he continues to dedicate himself to federal service, working as a civilian employee at Fort Meade, Maryland. His career continues at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, where he worked as a committed federal employee. In the years that followed, he brought his skills and work ethic to Johns Hopkins University and Kennedy Krieger before deciding to take early retirement at the age of 39. Outside of work, Harold found peace and joy in simple pleasures of life. He was a man who cherished the sound of jazz music the comfort of a perfectly made crab cake, a hearty meal from Overlea Diner and the overall beauty of nature. Whether tending to his music or carefully landscaping yards, he found meaning in creating and maintaining beauty around him. Harold lived a life marked by generosity and a true spirit of giving. He gave freely of his time, resources, and heart – supporting charities, lending a helping hand to those in need, and always providing for his family with unwavering dedication. His generosity and selfless nature leave a legacy of love and provision that will continue to inspire those who knew him Harold Johnson departed this life peacefully on July 21, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles W. Johnson & Pearlie Johnson-Vickers, and siblings, David, Suzette, Paul Charles, and Michael Johnson. He leaves to honor his legacy and memory; his daughter Johnson, cherished grandchildren Andrew Lee and Taylor Joy, his brother, Kevin Johnson, aunt Roslyn Degraffinreis, and his nieces Brittany Johnson and Nayshonn Bond. He also leaves mourn bonus daughter, Clarence Armistead and wife Renee. Armistead Harold will be remembered by lifelong friends George Brooks, Patsy Williams, and a host of extended family, friends, neighbors, and comrades
