Gloria E. Lee

Gloria Edwina Lee was born on November 11, 1938. The daughter of the Dorothy Gary and Samuel Brown. God called Gloria from labor to rest on November 18, 2023, several days after celebrating her 85th birthday. Gloria was preceded in death by two sons Wardell Porter and James Lee, grandson Stephen Lee Jr.., and great-granddaughter Rhy Lee. Gloria received her elementary Education in the Baltimore County school system. And a graduate of Dunbar High School in Baltimore City. Her early years were spent in Turner Station, Baltimore County. Her teenage years were spent on Falls Road, Baltimore City. She met the love her life, Charles (Chuckie) Lee. They pursued a sweetheart relationship and became wedded in holy matrimony in 1955. They were blessed with 68 years of marriage. Through this union, they raise six children. They taught their children. They taught their children Christian values (For in my house we will serve the Lord). One of Gloria's favorites. She loved being part of the community If you ask Gloria, how are you feeling, if her response was 'FAIR TO THE MID-LEND' you knew you knew everything was OK. Gloria welcomed and opened her home to all her children's friends. Gloria's love for the children in the communities led her to be a foster mom for many years. Gloria's Preaching the love of God and education, Gloria went back to school and received an Associate of Arts degree in Business Education at the Community College of Baltimore Bachelors of Sociology Coppin from State University. Gloria had several jobs: Howard Johnson's Restaurant, The Sisters of Notre Dame, teacher's aid at Martin Luther King Elementary School, and 20 years of service at the Social Security Administration. Returning to fellowship at Falls Road Church in 1992 Gloria went to work as a faithful servant of God. Gloria served 8 years on the Trustee Board and a member of the Missionary Society. She also was a computer lab teacher for the youth of Falls Road. Gloria's memories will be cherished by her loving husband, Charles Augustus Lee, sons Kevin, Charles, and Stephen Lee, daughter Althea Davis (Lamon) one daughter in law Patricia Lee, sister Mary Cooper, three Sister in law Frances Johnson, Ruby Lee, Peggy Lee and one brother -in-law Lorenzo Lee, eighteen grandchildren, twenty grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, the Brown family, nieces, nephew, and a host of family and friends.
