Frances Lee Brown

Missionary Sister Frances Lee Logan Brown was born on August 16th, 1931 in Prudent, West Virginia. She was the 4th of six children born to the late Rev. Nathaniel D. and Nellie Florence Logan. On Sunday, September 25th at home she peacefully enter into eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior. In 1937 the family moved to Buckingham County, Virginia. She received her education in Virginia Public School System. At a early age she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at the Baptist Union Baptist Church in Buckingham County, Virginia. In 1949 she married the late Walter Lee Brown, and from that union five children were born. In 1956 the family moved to Baltimore, Maryland. During that time Frances did domestic work. She went to nursing school, upon receiving her degree she was employed by Maryland State at Rosewood State Hospital for 19 years, she retired early in 1986 In the early years in Baltimore she joined and attended Saint Paul Elizabeth Institutional Baptist Church. In 1963 she joined Christian Community of God under the leadership of the late Bishop Elder Conway and Mother Rosetta Green. She loved them as they we her second set of parents. Missionary Brown often called “Mother Brown” loved God and demonstrated by serving all of God’s children. She served on many auxiliaries, She was a Missionary, Pastors Aide (Past President), Sunday School Teacher, Nursing Home Ministries, She sung with The Radio, Inspirational and the Senior Green Gospel Choir. Most of all she showed her love for God and her motherly love for her children and grandchildren by doing whatever she could in anyway. She lived a fulfilled life and she showed all she knew as a woman of God and anointing prayers life. Frances also loved traveling. Missionary Mother Brown was preceded in death by: her children two daughters, Nannie Marie and Alice Theresa; two sons, James Walter and Otis F.; sister, Theresa Meyers; two brothers, Nathaniel D. Logan, Jr. and Christopher C. Logan, Sr.; and a devoted friend, Franklin Fields. She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted children, five daughters, Joyce A. Brown-Harrison (Johnny), Daisy M. Cooper, Mary Frances Brown, Frances (Frankie) Fields-Crawley (Andy) of Richmond Virginia and Felicia (Lisa) Fields-Edwards; two sons, Reginald F. Fields and Graylin F. Fields; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Deacon Harold C. (Virginia) of Washington and Rev. Douglas M. Logan (Andrea) of Hyattsville, Maryland; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; two Goddaughters, Josephine Lewis and Teresa A. Tripp; special friends, Sister Margaret Mosley and Robert Bentley; and a host of other family and friends and the entire Christian Community Church of God Family. Give her of the fruit of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates. –Proverbs 31: 31
