Eva Robinson Cooper

Our beloved Eva Robinson Cooper, 91, of Richmond, Virginia lost her battle to Alzheimer’s on Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was born to the late Elnora Jackson on November 19, 1923. She was an only child. She received her education from Richmond Public Schools and graduated from Armstrong High. At any early age she married the late Charlie (Doc) Cooper and had four children, Frederick Lee Cooper (Carolyn), the late Shirley Cooper-Harris, Charlie Cooper, Jr. and Joyce Cooper-Kemp (Berry). Eva was a longtime member of Mosby Memorial Baptist Church for more than 70 years. She devoted time as an usher in her early years. Even during her battle with her illness, she looked forward to attending church on some Sundays with her family. Eva was a kind and gentle soul with the biggest heart one could imagine. She spent her life taking care of and doing for others. She was a loving and compassionate person who would go out of her way to do for family and others. She would give a stranger a place to rest his/her head and food to eat. Her undying love for others made her a giant in life. She cherished time spent with family and enjoyed family gathers and always looked forward to events when all family members could get together. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning, and no matter what time of day or night you dropped by her home, she would go out of her way to prepare something for you to eat. Our family will miss her dearly and she will be remembered for her loving and compassionate ways, her loving smile, her warm spirit and her kindness. She leaves to cherish her memories, two loving sons, Frederick Lee Cooper(Carolyn)and Charlie Cooper,Jr.,one loving and truly devoted daughter, Joyce Cooper Kemp(Berry), ten grandchildren, Raymond Cooper, Lisa Harris,Deedra Harris,LaTanya Bouldin(Marvin),Toni Whittle(Antoine),Susan Cooper, Michelle Cooper, Frederick Cooper,Jr.,Kenneth Cooper, and Charlie Kato Cooper, three step-granddaughters,Sherida,Sonja,and Sharon Kemp, eighteen great- grandchildren, Roderick Doggett,Lorielle Bouldin,Ryan Bouldin,Taylor,Tamia Tyler,Antoine,Jr. and Adrien Whittle,LaTonya and LeSean Harris,Marchael Harris,Cierra,Jasmine and Raymond Cooper,Jr.,Tarshan King,Rashad Cooper, Mariah Cooper and Dominique Cooper, three-great-great grandchildren,Cierre Cooper,Marcheal Harris,Jr. and Rajee-Reed Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
