Eunice Ann Boyd

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Eunice “Ann” Boyd departed this life and was called home on August 29, 2025. She was born to Alice and Woodrow Boyd, Sr., on July 7, 1948, in Baltimore, MD. She was the second oldest of 10 children and had three children (Troy, Bernard, and Dana Boyd). Ann was known for her strength and was truly the matriarch of the family, the glue that held her family together. She received her early childhood education in Baltimore, MD and worked in the Baltimore City public school system. Despite a challenging childhood and the responsibilities of single parenthood, she went to college, earned a college degree, and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. While she was proud of her accomplishments, her spirit radiated most when she was surrounded by those she loved. She had a gift for recognizing the goodness in others and a special love for her family. Her compassion was boundless. She encouraged and helped her sisters and brothers, nieces, nephews, and neighbors. At one point, all her immediate siblings lived with her, and she cherished her extended family. Even when she had little, she gave freely. She listened intently to other’s troubles, and offered comfort and advice, while rarely speaking of her own struggles. Her love and guidance soothed the soul. Where she was blessed, she blessed others. Ann’s children and grandchildren loved her dearly, and she treasured every moment with them. Even as driving long distances became more difficult, she made sure her family had what they needed. She made sure her grandchildren reached their destinations and when she couldn’t be there, she always asked, “How did it go?” She loved music and cooking – especially on Thanksgiving. Her yams, turkey, and macaroni and cheese were outstanding! She made frequent trips to Wegmans, the grocery store, several days a week, visiting so often that the employees knew her by name. Ann persevered with faith, hope, and love, living as if the sum of all tomorrow’s was forever. With a deep love for the Lord, she filled notebooks with scriptures and prayers. Even in illness, her focus remained on caring for others. It is that same love that now allows her to rest in peace. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her. Ann is survived by her son, Bernard and daughter, Dana Boyd; grandchildren, Sincere, Brandon, Madison, Emmitt, and Emmanuel; great-grandsons; nieces and nephews; brothers, Woodrow and Peter Boyd, sisters, Alice Deaouvet, Ineta Boyd, Evelyn Boyd, Shirley Kelley, Vernessa Knox, and a whole host of other loving family members and friends.
