Ethel Lynch

Obituary Ethel Lynch, age 92, peacefully departed this life on March 10th at 12:30 p.m. at We Care Assisted Living Home after a long and courageous battle with dementia. Surrounded by love and care, our beloved mother answered the Master’s call and transitioned quietly into eternal rest. Ethel was a woman of deep faith whose Christian journey began when she joined St. Marks Church of God in Christ in Richmond, Virginia. Her life reflected her strong belief in God, and she never hesitated to share her testimony with anyone she met. Ethel loved to talk about the goodness of the Lord and could spend hours encouraging others with her wisdom, faith, and life experiences. Her devotion to her family and her willingness to serve others were truly selfless. Ethel received her early education in the Oak City Public Schools of North Carolina. She later continued her studies at Richmond Technical Center, where she pursued nursing. Caring for others was her true calling, and she devoted many years of service to the healthcare field. Ethel worked as a nurse at Medical College of Virginia (MCV), St. Mary’s Hospital, and Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, where she was known for her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit. Ethel was the beloved daughter of the late Pearlie Harris and William Harris. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Charlie June Lynch of North Carolina. From this loving union, they were blessed with five children. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelia Lynch, and her son, Roy Lynch; and ten of her siblings. Ethel leaves to cherish her precious memories her children: Doris Key (Harry), Charlene Lynch, and Eric Lynch (Mary). Her legacy continues through her six beloved grandchildren: Keanna, Sasha, Eric, Erica, Tiffany, and Lil Roy; and ten great-grandchildren who brought great joy to her life. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, and her dedication to family and community. Her life was a testament to kindness, strength, and the power of faith. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit, wisdom, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
