Ella Mae Robinson

ELLA MAE LEMON ROBINSON was born June 29, 1935, in Manning, South Carolina to the late Issac and Ethel Lemon. Ella was the youngest of twelve children. On October 31, 2025, she received her wings and went home to be with the Lord. She is now reunited with her husband, the late Willie Nathaniel Robinson (Nay), her eleven siblings and a host of family and friends having a hallelujah good time in Jesus’ name. Ella received her education from the Manning, South Carolina Public School Systems where she earned her high school diploma. She later moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she met the love of her life. Ella and Nay married in May of 1958 and from that union they were blessed with five beautiful children, three boys and two girls. Ella’s servant spirit helped make her an excellent homemaker for her husband and children. In 1977, on September 22nd, she lost her loving husband at the tender age of 45. Thanks be to GOD; Ella was able to continue to raise her children to the wonderful adults that they are today. She worked several years at Loyola College where she provided delicious meals for the students, faculty and clergymen until she was of age to retire. “Thank GOD”, Ella enjoyed her retirement in good health. She continued to get out for walks, visited and called the sick and shut in. Ella was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served as both President and Vice President for the Usher Board. She followed her Pastor, the late Rev. Clarence Poole to Mt. Zion Hill Baptist Church, and continued her membership under Pastor Marvin L. McFadden. She continued to be a faithful member and usher. She also remained active with the Robinson Family Circle as an advisor and cook. Her favorite colors were blue and lavender; her favorite food was fish; her favorite song “Glory to His Name”; her favorite scripture, Psalms 23. Ella resided at Keswick for two years until her last days when she was moved to her final resting place in Hospice Care. She was a loving and beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who was affectionately known as Grandma Ella. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: three sons, Alexander [Evelyn], Mosley, and Wìllie, Jr.; two daughters, Bernetta and Sheila; seven grandchildren, Melvin Hudson, Mosley Olando, Robinson, Marcus Robinson [Misty], Warren Davis, Maurice Robinson, and Whitney [Tony] Carter; eleven great-grandchildren, Briyana Hudson, Aaliyah Robinson, Dominique Davis, Raven Davis, Kymora Robinson, Tyrese Robinson, Trenton Robinson, April Robinson, Xavier Robinson, Zayden Robinson, Isaiah Eaddy and Melody Hudson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
