Don Linwood Settle

Don Linwood Settle, born July 1, 1956 to William Vincent and Pearl Irene Settle in Baltimore, MD departed this life on April 23, 2008 after a lengthy illness.Don received his early education in the Baltimore City Public School system. He graduated from Northern High School in 1974. He then furthered his education at the University of Baltimore where he received both his graduated and undergraduate degree. Don loved working with computers and furthered his education at the Community College of Baltimore where he earned a degree for Micro Computer Specialist.As a young man, Don sought the Lord. He wad baptized and received the Holy Ghost in 1975 under the leadership of Bishop Amos. Under Bishop Amos, he was ordained as Elder in 1982. Following the leading of the Lord, in 1988, Don became a member of the First Apostolic Faith Church, under the pastorate of Bishop Winfield A. Showell. Son served as Coordinator for Ministers in training, Family Life Minister and Coordinator of the Computer Learning Center under Bishop Franklin Cornelius Showell. With the blessings of Bishop Showell, Don served as Sought Out Redeemed Hope Center under Pastors Bobby and Eualia Willoughby.Don married the love of his life, Angela Eve Henson on June 7, 1980. Along with this union, Don assumed the responsibility of becoming a loving and dedicated father to Ivan Henson. Later to this union, Don and Angela were blessed with two beautiful children, Michelle and Nathan whom he loved dearly.Don lived a full and beautiful life. He was extremely grateful and never failed to give God thanks and glory for his life. He was a devoted and loving husband and always put the needs of his wife before his own. He was a loving and caring father who took pride in his children and nurtured them without question. He especially enjoyed family gatherings. At these times he would display his wit and humor. He always offered brotherly advice to all. He loved teaching and was respected by his students and colleagues. Don't character was unique. He was loved by all.Even in his illness, he did not complain, but witnessed his faith, belief and trust in God to everyone that he in contact with him. Don can truly say, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. "II Tim.4:7Preceding Don in death was his mother, Pearl Irene Settle and brother, Bill Settle.He leaves to mourn: his wife, whom he cherished, Angela (lovingly known as Eve); two sons, Ivan and Nathan; one daughter, Michelle; his father, William Settle; one daughter-in-law, Lisa: two grandchildren, Ivan Jr. and Taylor; three brothers, Bob, Paul and Tim; one sister, Pearl Irene (Reanie); three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
