Dimitrius Paschuel McNeil

DIMITRUIS PASCUAL MCNEIL, son of William Pascual McNeil Jr. and Shelia Vera Burgess, was born on the evening of July 17, 1987. On the morning of April 20 2009 at the age of 21, God called Dimitruis home to rest. Though Dimitruis was young, he lived a life full of substance; joy, pain, accomplish, laughter, and love. Dimitruis was very creative, imaginative, yet easily entertained. Even as a young boy with all the toys and games a child could want, Dimitruis still found way to create things using everyday house objects. When he played with his sister cousins, or friends, the simplest of games turned into a laugh-fest event. He always had a way of bringing smiles to a person's face.Throughout his life, Dimitruis displayed his gifts such as drawing or photography and was an artist in his own right; much like his father and sister. He often shared his creations with others, and in his creations there was always a sense of the sunnier side of life.Few people in life are ever comfortable with themselves. Dimitruis was blessed to be one of them; even in the face of adversity and hardships. It was that same comfort that Dimitruis shared and extended to those he met in life. Be it school, home, or work, Dimitruis would always find a way to share a humorous thought. Before long, one could find themselves joining in and indulging in his brand of humor. Rarely was there an occasion where Dimitruis sat with someone and did not strike up a conversation of had them laughing. He had a gift for making something that seemed so unbearable... bearable.In a world where image drives so much, Dimitruis' opinion was that if someone could not accept him for who he was, then they were not worthy of his time yet did not hold a grudge; and that gave Dimitruis grace. He was never quick to anger yet sought to be understood and respected just as he gave the same to others; through talking with him, you'd find that Dimitruis was very patient and understanding. To those who knew him, simply put...he was an all around good guy to know.Dimitruis' life is a true testament that the finer things in life can never be purchased. That the true gifts within us come from God and are to be shared with those around you. Dimitruis will be greatly missed.Dimitruis leaves to cherish his memory: his father, William McNeil; his mother, Sheila Burgess; sister, Shakearah McNeil; nephew, Gabriel McNeil; stepmother, Gina McNeil; step-father, Charles Burgess; his godmother and aunt, Darlene Wilson and aunt Gwendolyn Epps; paternal grandmother, Mable McNeil; grandmother Dorine Jones, all residing in Baltimore, Md.; grandfather, Wilbert Honeyblue of Savannah, Ga.; aunts, five uncles, cousins and friends.Dimitruis attended church with the Heart of God Ministries where he served as an usher. He worked at Yellow Transportation as Call Center Operator and Dispatcher from 2007 until his passing. He attended Evangel Cathedral since 1998 and also attended Digital Harbor High School where he graduated in June of 2006.
