Devante Wright-Felder

DeVante Lemar Wright-Felder was born on July 18, 1993 in Baltimore, Maryland. He ascended to take his place amongst the angels on Sunday, October 1, 2017. DeVante was born to Yolanda Laureen Wright and Darrell Antonio Felder. As a youngster, DeVante enjoyed a variety of team sports. He played on the Morrell Park Little League Baseball Team; but took a particular interest in wrestling. He competed on various wrestling teams and earned several awards for his 'First Place' performances. DeVante received his education at Catonsville High School, in Baltimore County. At an early age DeVante developed a provider's spirit. At fourteen, he first worked at the Charlestown Retirement Community. Two years later, DeVante began working at Chuck E. Cheese; where he was employed until his death. Devante' had an entrepreneurial spirit and was determined to become his own boss. In addition to his job at Chuck E. Cheese, he was an aspiring insurance salesman and was newly licensed with Primeria, Inc. Devante was blessed with his only child, little Miss Dai'Von, last year. Ever the happy, warm and lovable young man, DeVante had a hugh heart for children! That love was evident in his choice of profession, his relationships with those in his community, his relationship with family and friends, and most notably, in his relationship with his baby girl. He loved to laugh and often encouraged those around him to trade seriousness, in favor of silliness, saying that 'life is too short not to be happy'. The biggest part of DeVante's charm was his trademark, infectious smile that was well known by anyone whom had the pleasure of making his acquaintance. DeVante was a very inquisitive, tech savvy guy. He was current on the latest trends in all things electronic. He loved computers and spent a great many hours disassembling and reassembling them to understand their inner workings. A great chef-in-the-making, DeVante enjoyed food. He cooked on his job and could often be found sharing a late night snack with his baby girl. Some of his favorite dishes were his mom's spaghetti and pizza; which DeVante said he could eat everyday! DeVante was a video game aficionado; however, he did not watch a lot of TV. He enjoyed fishing and was a hard worker who was known for always seeking different streams of income. DeVante leaves to honor his life and celebrate his legacy: one daughter, Dai'Von Alina Wright and her mother, LaShaye Ford; parents, Yolanda L. Wright and Darrell A. Felder; sisters, La'Desha, Dequila and Breanna Felder; brothers, Darrell Felder and Chaz Hudson; and a host of loving relatives and dear friends.
