Dennis Milton Bailey

DENNIS MILTON BAILEY passed away suddenly on January 20, 2010. He was born in Farmville, Virginia on June 30, 1955 to Hazel Bailey and the late Richard Bailey. As an infant he moved to Baltimore, Maryland name with his family. Dennis received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. In 1974 he graduated from the former Fairmount Hill High School.After graduating, Dennis began working for the Baltimore City Department of Parks and Recreations. He stayed there for twenty-five years until he had to retire for medical reasons. Though Dennis was a bit on the shy and quiet side, he was still very outgoing. He was LIKED and LOVED by all that knew him. He was always courteous and thoughtful to others, as well as helpful where he could be. He was the jolly, friendly uncle to all the nieces and nephew. He was the go to brother when something was needed, especially when it was one of his brother, that affectionately nicknamed him Eggie. That name stuck with him for years, even the neighborhood friends knew him by that name. He was also the Guru of Photography in our family. Whatever family function we had, you could always depend on Denniseno being there with the camera. He especially loved to photograph the children to make them laugh while he joked with them Some other things some did not know about Dennis, is that he had a love for writing and poetry. He could put words together that would just melodically flow. It was unfortunate that he never pursued this talent. He also had an avid passion for music. He loved to listen to music as well as sing it . He had a pretty nice voice too. Dennis also loved to read the Bible and quote verses and scriptures to anyone that would listen.Though he didn't belong to a particular church, he was THERE, and he would go as often as he could. He must have visited just about every church in East Baltimore. There is no doubt, GOD will continue to love and cherish him for Eternity.Dennis is one of nine children and one of six boys in the family. Unfortunately three of his brothers preceded him in death, James R. Bailey, Willie E. Bailey and Ralph L. Bailey.Dennis leaves in love to mourn him: his mother, Hazel Bailey; two brothers, Jerry Bailey and Curtis Bailey; three sisters, Shirley Bailey, Teresa Elliott and Charlene Sealey; two brothers-in-law, Darryl Sealey and Garrett Elliott. He also leaves in loving memory a host of nieces, nephew, cousin and cherished friends.
