Deloris Annette Prince

Delores Annette Prince, daughter of the late David F. Prince and Annie L. Wallace was born in Baltimore, MD on February 28, 1955. She departed this life peacefully and gracefully on February 22, 2016 “Lorsie” as she was affectionately called was the third of seven siblings. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System where she was awarded her G.E. D. Lorsie took pride in growing up in East Baltimore with her siblings and many friends Lorsie furthered her education by attending Towson University , She completed the nursing program and received her L. P. N. license. In her young adult years, Lorsie met the first love of her life Leslie Tyler, From this partnership were born her two children, Leslie Tyler and Diane Tyler. She prided herself in being and learning the art of motherhood. Years went by and she then met the second love of her life David Lee Ervin, Sr. and had her baby boy David Lee Ervin, Jr Lorsie had a great relationship with all of children, even though Leslie, Diane and David fought kindly for the 'Favorite Child Title' They were her world!!! Lorsie continued to work in her field as an L.P.N. She labored at Spring Grove Hospital, Lorien Nursing Home, Central booking and Smith Agency just to name a few. She enjoyed her field of work She also worked as a teacher in the Baltimore City School System. She had a heart and compassion for people. She was meek and mild and her personality was gentle and wholesome. She continued to remain close to her mom and siblings. Functions Friday's was 'sisters day' and and if you were not a sister, don't bother to come. Family functions and holidays were some of the highlights of her life. She also lived to compare and taste her oldest granddaughter Dominique's cooking. Lorsie loved to dance, listen to music and cook. She went out of her way to be the caretaker of her family. She was a woman that loved the Lord. Since a young child, she faithfully attended Salem Baptist Church. She loved her church family. She made sure her grandchildren were picked up Sunday mornings. Lorsie loved her grandchildren and they admired her as well. She will be greatly missed by all knew her. She was the anchor to her family and her life was full of love unity. We celebrate the greatness of our beloved Delores Annette Prince. May you rest in the arms of Jesus until we meet again Alvin Prince, Virginia Prince, Allen Prince and her great-grandchildren, Kaleah Gaylord preceded her in death. She leave to cherish her memory: her mother, Annie Wallace; three children, Leslie Samuel Tyler, Sr. Diane Tyler and David Lee Ervin, Jr. siblings, Shirley Street, Ronnie Prince, and Carolyn Ransome; grandchildren, Dominique Foote, Daja Ervin, Leslie Samuel Tyler, Jr., Tyler Prince, Jaela Ervin, David Lee Ervin III, Skylar Heaven Tyler; great-grandchildren, Tyleah McNair, Micah Gaylord and Mykel Taylor, and a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.
