Davol L.H. Langley

Davol Loren Harvey Langley, son of the late James and B Sherlene Langley was born September 11, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the youngest of four children. He was called home to be with the Lord. He received the Lord at an early age at Memorial Baptist Church and later served the Lord for many years at Jerusalem Baptist Church; where he was ordaimed to the Deacon Minister. He was a devoted and faithful man of God. A few of his favorite scriptures was Psalm 91 and Ephesians 3:20; and one of his favorite songs were “My Times” by Lashaun Pace. Everywhere he went he loved to spread the gospel and his love for the Lord. He enjoyed ministering to the youth especially young males to show them that there is a better way. He graduated from Baltimore City Public School System and Loved being a trucker and owened several trucks and his own company (Lanco Trucking). He loved training and often would take young men in their times of need on daily trucking runs. He would always say “If a man don't work he don't eat.” He always had a quote for every occasion which he picked up from either his Heavenly Father or earthly father. Davol loved all his family especially his two daughter Arreal and Dynesha. He was serious about his love for the Lord and being saved. He made sure his girls knew the Lord and how much he loved them. He loved traveling and taking his girls on family vacations. He was also an active member of the PTA. He enjoyed talking on the telephone and he would always end with “And talk to you later, Love you, Bye Peace”. He was a loving father, brother, uncle,nephew, cousin and friend. He would often have heart to heart conversation with his nephew, their friend anyone who needed an encouraging word. His nieces' children and adopted children were his entourage on many trips to the Crofton Co Kart track, movies and other adventurous outings. He leaves to cherish his memory two loving daughter Arreal Langley and Dynesha Langley (a soon to be son in law Myron Nelson); three beautiful sister Mary Langley-Edwards, Joni Gummer, Donna Webster, three brother in laws Victor Edwards, Terrance Gummer, and James Webster, six nephews Taie, Jimmy Deveron, Dante,Jason, and Charles; five nieces Joy, Jani Tairyn, LaShawn (who preceded him in death) and Stephanie; several special brothers and friends; oldest god child Michelle Walker, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, god children, and friends.
