Darius D. Miller

DARIUS DUANE MILLER was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 29, 1984. He was the loving son of Crystal Miller and Duane Streeter. Darius attended Howard County Public Schools in Columbia, Maryland. Following his graduation from Long Reach High School, Darius attended Howard Community College where he pursued his dream of becoming a writer of fiction. Darius gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Sharon Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland when he was seven years old. At Sharon Baptist Church he was a member of the Elliott Choir and the Youth and Young Adult Mass Choir which became the A.C.D. Vaughn Youth and Young Adult Mass Choir. Darius lived life to the fullest. He used his skills, energy and patience to serve others while working in the hospitality industry in Columbia, MD restaurants. Other than writing, he enjoyed listening to good music, shopping and traveling. He savored family gatherings, where he always paid special attention to the menu. Cooking was a passion he shared with his friends and family. Darius would generously share his favorite recipes. He had a subtle way of saying "man, I'm good," when someone sampled and liked what he had prepared. In addition to his writing and cooking, Darius thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his nephews, Talon and Aiden and his niece, Brooke. If asked, many would use one word to describe Darius. He was a "giver". He was willing to give whatever he could at add to the life of those he loved, whenever the situation arose. On Wednesday, May 3, 2017 Darius transitioned from his earthly home to his heavely home. He was received lovingly by his heavenly angels: his grandmother, Nellie Streeter and his great-grandparents, Andrew C. Miller and Emily L. Miller. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving parents, Crystal Miller and Duane Streeter (Brenda); brothers, Brian K. Middleton (Jillian Allen) and Derin D. Streeter (Tasha); grandparents, Dr. Robert L. Miller, Sr. and Annie R. Miller; grandfather, George C. Streeter; nephews, Talon and Aiden; niece, Brooke; uncle, Robert L. Miller, Jr; and a host of relatives and friends.
