Damon Ernest Barbour

Damon Ernest Barbour affectionately known as, "Mookie, Kui, TFG Unk" was born to Christine Barbour and the late James Kelly on July 15, 1983 in Baltimore, MD. He suddenly departed this life on October 15, 2022. Damon was a beloved welcomed addition to the family following the birth of seven girls before him. He was spoiled rotten by his siblings. Damon was always small. He was still walking under tables at four years old. Damon was smart and naturally funny. He could really crack you up with is own made up sayings. At 17, school no longer captioned his interest, so his sister Faith enlisted him in Job Corp which saved his life and he was able to excel in bricklaying. It was there he would receive his high school diploma from Potomac High School in Washington, DC. Damon worked at D.S. Steel until he became ill and could work no longer. He became his own entrepreneur doing various jobs in the community for people. You could find him cutting grass, fixing a car or probably running a store errand for someone. That was Mookie, the neighborhood guy. Damon believed in God. He was raised up in Prayer House of our Father under Pastor Irene Montgomery. He later joined New Refuge Deliverance Cathedral under Bishop Naomi Durant but later just stopped coming. From an early age, Damon was fascinated with motor sports. He was an avid bike rider of dirt bikes and motorcycles. He loved them. He could fix anything, but he loved fixing those bikes and motorcycles. He also loved his children. He was kind, loving and giving. He made an impression on everyone he came in contact with. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and ability to connect with people. Damon is survived by his mother, Deacon Christine Barbour; four children, Angel, Jordyn, Quinton and Damarian; seven sisters, Faith, Sheila (who preceded him in death), Chante', Adrienne, Sharee, Shawn, Tierra, Donshell and Quadrine; four brothers, David, Kendrick, Big Earl and Quinton (who preceded him in death); three brothers-in-law, Sal, Dwayne and Andrew; one aunt, Adriane; five uncles, Ronnie, Kevin, Greg, Michael and Arthur; one godsister, Wistoria; one devoted blood brother, Daron Lane and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
