Constance Young Flowers

Romans 8:18Constance Delores Young-Flowers was born into this life on September 7, 1955 and was resurrected from this life on Sunday, April 20, 2003. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Cora Lee Jones Young and the late Anderson Young. She was the youngest of fifteen children, predeceased by two brothers, John Young and Gordon Young Sr.She resided in Turners Station, Maryland during her childhood and early adulthood. In 1973 Constance was graduated as an Honor Society Student from Dundalk Senior High school in Dundalk, Maryland. She attended both Howard University and Towson University completing two years at each institution. Her major was Psychology. In 1980 she began a career with the United States Postal Service in Baltimore, Maryland. She remained there until she sustained a serious work related injury.Connie as she was affectionately known, had a happy life. As a child, Connie had a few good friend, several nieces, nephews and cousins she enjoyed. Much of her childhood and early adulthood was spent in Goochland County, Virginia where she especially loved the time she spent with her family there. She also formed lasting friendships with people in college and at the U.S. Post Office. She was fond of traveling with friends and family.Connie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in her early adulthood. She was later baptized by water and the Holy Spirit.On August 22, 1995 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Glen Flowers. From that day on he has remained the Love of her life. They shared many happy memories. They supported each other in sickness and in health. Glen was devoted to caring for “ his baby Connie.”Connie was a strong willed person who loved her family beyond measure. She was devoted to helping, sharing, and giving in any way humanly possible to family and friends. She will be dearly missed but NEVER forgotten.She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Glen Flowers; two step children, Glen Jr. and Renee; seven sisters, Ruth Wright, Madeline Jackson, Elaine Young, Loretta Watson, Christine Henley, Carrie Young and Carlene Griffin; five brothers, Lewis Young, Frank Young, Charlie Griffin, J. Albert Griffin, and Beverly Young; four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, two godsons, Carl Athy and Demetrius Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
