Charles A. Brandon

Charles Anthony Brandon Sr. passed away peacefully on May 14, 2017 at the age of 59. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Fannie Mae & the late James Clettes Brandon Sr. As a child, Charles wanted to be an architect or a truck driver. As an older teenage, he was considered a ladies man. When he met Angela, it was the beginning of a teenage love. They dated for a year, and then they were married in 1978. Out of that union they raised four children together: Andre, Carletta, Vanessa, & Charles Jr. That marriage lasted 24 years. His first job was at The Four Seasons as a bus boy. He worked as a short order cook at Housings restaurant. He dedicated half his life as a security guard working for Broadway Services, Johns Hopkins Hospital, & The Department of Social Services. He protected & served for his last job at Pimlico Race Track. He developed a special relationship with his co-workers. They indeed were his work family. Aside from working for Pimilco, he enjoyed watching football & Boxing. His most important hobby that he held so dear to his heart was listening to music & watching movies. His movie collect is so enormous that if you watch 1 movie a day it would take 5 plus years to watch them all. Charles didn't go out much, but he was at peace with home movie theater with surround sound concession stand. During a loving relationship with Brenda, Charles was blessed with his last son, Tavon. He will be remembered by his unique character. He was a serious & proud man. He told the truth & he had a big opinion. It didn't matter if you wanted to hear what he had to say. He would get his point across. He did not have a church home but he believed in the Lord. As stern and as somewhat argumentative as he was he had a soft spot. He loved playing video games with Tavon. He also enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren great grand babies. He was excited about giving his soon to be great Grandson a nickname. Our newest edition of the family will be due to come in August. He is now home with his brother, the late Clettes Brandon. Charles leaves to cherish his memories: Mother Fannie Mae Brandon; two brothers, James Clettes Brandon Jr. (Butch) & David Hill; Ex wife, Angela Brandon; Five children, Andre Pittman, Carletta Pittman, Vancessa Brandon, Charles Brandon Jr. & Tavon Brandon; five grandchildren, Alexus Pittman, Allieha Brandon, Larry Pittman, Chauntel Brandon & Andre Pittman Jr.; two great grandchildren, Kamaiya Wilds & Kamora Wilds; Three sisters in law, Renee Hill, Andrienne Bailey, & Ulanda Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relativs and friends.
