CATHY DENISE WOODFORK, affectionately known as Judy, was born April 24, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late June and Shirley Allen. Judy was the third child of five siblings. She was called home and entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Judy remained true to who she was until the very end. Cathy loved the Lord. She was a member of the House of Judah Ministries and spent a lot of time participating in a dedicated prayer group that she referred to as her Prayer Warriors. In time of need or despair she was not shy to tell you to take it to GOD and let him lead your path. Cathy received her education in the Baltimore City School System and received her high school diploma from Frederick Douglass High School. She later attended Baltimore City Community College and Professional Skills Institute for Healthcare Training where she received her certificate as a Certified Caregiver and Assistant Living Manager. She worked for many years as a caretaker for children and adults with special needs. She loved being a caretaker and sharing her life experiences with those close to her. She found peace in being supportive in ways that would teach you about life lessons and would often say “don’t you be no fool”. In 1973, she met her one and only true love and lifetime partner, Larry L. Smith Sr. From this union, three children were born, Larry L. Smith Jr., Tavon A. Smith, and the late Tanisha LaTonya Smith who was called to glory on October 4, 2024. In 1992, the family welcomed twins Dominick and Dominica. Cathy, also known as Judy, loved to watch movies and different TV programs. She was what one would call a couch potato! She was a private and prideful woman who loved her children and grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments. She set a foundation for them to be successful and took great pride in her children and grandchildren having great character, integrity, and self-respect. Her extended family shared many stories of how her door was open for them to come and enjoy family time, listen to music, play in the backyard, have movie night, and enjoy good food. Aunt Cathy aka Judy and Uncle Larry’s house was the place to be! She leaves to cherish her memory: the love of her life, Larry L. Smith Sr.; five children, Larry Jr. (Chanel) Tavon aka Tony (Tecola), Tanisha aka Tonya (preceded in death), Dominick and Dominica (Daniel); nine granddaughters, Imoni (preceded in death), Tyla, Aaliyah, Talia, Loren, Jayla, Taylor, Jordan and Jalia; three grandsons, Terrance (Dominique), Larry III and Caiden; five great-granddaughters, Tailyn, Soleya, Yara, Lay’Loni and Taige; great-grandson, Judah; two younger siblings, Lisa and Karl; two older siblings, Arnetta and Sampson (both preceded in death); a host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
