Bridgette F. Foxworth

Bridgette Fantyne Foxworth was born on November 20, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Gladys and Milton Tyson. After a lengthy illness, she departed this life on June 17, 2026. Bridgette was the only girl among seven children. Her siblings were Joel, Melvin, Maurice, Milton Jr., Marvin, and Kelvin. Maurice, who died at birth, along with Kelvin, Melvin, and Milton Jr., preceded her in death. Bridgette was baptized at an early age at Southern Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend James Grant Sr. She loved the Lord and carried His love in her heart throughout her life. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She graduated from Northwestern High School and later attended Baltimore City Community College. She worked for many years in retail, where she served as a manager and built a strong reputation for dedication and professionalism. Bridgette met her husband, Wilburn Foxworth, when they were teenagers. From that early beginning, they built a lasting bond and remained together for more than 50 years. Through their union, they were blessed with six children. Bridgette and Wilburn shared a special kind of love, affectionately referring to one another as “love twins.” Their connection was strong, enduring, and filled with devotion until the very end. Bridgette enjoyed watching sports. She rooted for the Orioles in baseball and loved watching her favorite team, the Golden State Warriors, alongside her husband. She also loved movies of all kinds, especially classic films. One of her favorite television shows was Sistas on BET. Music brought Bridgette so much joy. Her taste ranged from rock and roll to R&B, hip hop, and house music. Whenever one of her favorite songs came on, such as Walk with Me, she would begin to dance—shoulders bouncing, hands moving from side to side, smiling and enjoying the moment. Most of all, Bridgette loved love. She cherished her family and friends, and anything that brought loved ones together gave her joy. She made everyone feel welcome in her presence, and her way of expressing herself was always vibrant, colorful, and often poetic. When The Notorious B.I.G. said, “To all the ladies in the place with style and grace,” it could have easily been an indirect shout-out to Bridgette, affectionately known as “Divalicious.” Bridgette’s style was truly one of a kind. Her jewelry was never too flashy, yet it always caught your eye. Her hair, makeup, fragrance, clothing, and shoes were always polished and top tier. People often complimented her appearance because she carried herself with confidence, class, and elegance. Even as a teenager, Bridgette had a gift for creativity. She was known for making her own clothes, teaching others how to style their hair and apply makeup and even making the bridesmaids’ dresses for her wedding. She was self-made, talented, and original. Bridgette was the ultimate entertainer, always creating something new, memorable, and unique. Whenever she brought something to an event, it stood out. People could often tell it came from Bridgette simply by the way it was presented. She loved sharing the latest gadgets, introducing new food dishes, and bringing special beverages for others to enjoy. Everything she did reflected her class, sophistication, and personal touch. Simply put, Bridgette was Beautiful—inside and out. Bridgette leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband and “love twin,” Wilburn Foxworth. She is also lovingly remembered by her children: Jerrell, who preceded her in death; Justin; Kirsten (Eduardo); Lacey (Kayode); Wilburn III (Ragi); and Kelsey. She leaves her brothers, Joel Tyson (Gloria) and Marvin Tyson (Judy), along with her beloved grandchildren: Gabrielle, Justin Jr., Jerran, Breah, Brittany, Paul Jr., Nevaeh, Omar Jr., Wilburn IV, Makai, Ja’kia, Jasmine and Jerrell. Bridgette is also remembered by her great-grandchild, Kendall, and a host of relatives and friends who will forever cherish her life, love, and legacy.
