Belmar Carl Fleet III

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16 Belmar Carl Fleet III, affectionately known as “Chuckie or Chuck” 57, of Baltimore, MD entered the kingdom of heaven on April 24, 2023. On that sunny day an angel whispered to him “come home my son, for your work here on Earth is done.” Chuck was born April 14, 1966 to the late Belmar C. Fleet Jr., and Gresser Moore-Jones in Baltimore, MD. Chuck received his formal education in the Baltimore City Public School System where he earned his high school diploma from Northwestern Senior High School. Chuck immediately entered the work force as a skilled construction laborer. He dedicated over thirty years of his life to construction and scaffolding. He was employed with Arundel Masonry for many years where he took pride in his craft. Often times he talked about all of the properties he helped to build around the city. He was also the families go to guy whenever they needed concrete work done. In his childhood he was admired for his love of music, his sense of style, his meek lovable personality and his fresh cut french fries. Chuck would have his cousins form a line in his grandparents kitchen to receive their freshly cut seasoned fries. Chuck was an outgoing family man. He was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, and challenges of those he met. Chuck was the family’s DJ. He would put his headphones on and go crazy with his mixing and scratching on the turntables. Chuck had a special love for all types of music specifically house music. He loved attending the house music festivals held annually in Baltimore. All he needed was his music. He would often say “You only live once!” Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Chuck loved his family dearly. His children were the light of his life. He said his greatest joy was being a dad. Chuck and his wife Ashley were married in 2009. Chuck was preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his wife, Ashley Powell-Fleet; his children: Tenika, Leah, Bryson and Taj Fleet; his three grandson Dillyn Griffin, Aiden and Amir Palmer. He also leaves behind his brother Robert E. McLean Jr, two nieces Lauren and Janae Stanley, two nephews Robert E. McLean III and Julian McLean. A mother-in-law Deborah Stanfield, special sister-in-law Drew Mosley, three cousins who were like brothers Denny Montgomery, Terence Green and Shawn Moore; his favorite cousin Margaret “Vette” Batty who preceded him in death. His ten aunts, two uncles and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends! We lost a great one. He simply wanted to brighten lives in his days and that he surely did. Peace and caring permeated him, and kindness felt like it was his middle name.
