Aleta Harrison

Aleta Marie Harrison was born to the late Sylvia Vincent and Nash Bush in Baltimore City on June 28, 1954 Aleta was called home on June 12, 2019 at the age of 62. Big Nita as she was aectionately known, was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Aleta received her education in Baltimore City School System and graduated from Southwestern High School. She was employed with Baltimore City Schools for over 20 years. Big Nita was a motivating, uplifting woman. She touched the hearts of people and was a great help to others. She was the rock of her family and the strength of her community. She was adored wherever she resided. Her nieces, nephews, and all other family members, always gathered at her house. There were like her own children. Many have adopted her as mother, grandma, godmother, and and auntie. She always made you feel welcome at her home whether family or friend. Aletha had a unbreakable bond with her children. They were her most prized possession. There was nothing she would not do for each of them. She would do everything in her power to make sure they had what they needed. She loved them and always put them rst. Her children and grandchildren were always the most exciting topic of her conversation. Let's not leave out the guy who stole her heart. James and Big Nita were together for many years and have always been a support to one another. Their relationship was unique and refreshing. James considered Big Nita his wife and they had the bond of unity along with the kids and grandkids. Big Nita would not let her illness get her down. She kept up as much as she could. James, her kids and grandkids along with the rest of her family and friends were right there supporting her and caring for her every step of the way until she received her wings. Aleta was a pleasant person and she enjoyed life. She loved telling stories especially about her kids and grandkids. Her and James loved watching TV and PLAYING THE LOTTERY. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Aleta was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad; Bush and Sylvia, her great grandmother Cora, grandmother Gere Lawrence, grandfather Eddie Vincent, sister, Lila Langley, brother Wayne Howell, granddaughter, Shana Davis, grandsons Craig Manuel Jr., Greg Manuel, Tierelle Wilder, and bestfriend, Cindy. Aleta is survived by her spouse James Moore; sister, Gwendolyn Langley; aunts, Barbara Jean May and Gloria; three sons, Eric Sims, Angelo Vincent and Antonio Davis; one daughter, Irrocktonia Easter; two daughterin-laws, Charlene Vincent and Tonia Sims; one special son in-law, Craig Manuel Sr.; granddaughters, Kiericka, Tiericka, Antoinette, Shannon, Charmaine, Alexis, Meona, Asia, Destiny, Kayla, Dajanay, and Alyssa; grandsons, Eric Jr., Angelo, Antonio, Derrick, Eric, Gill, Keith, Carlos, Cameron; a large number of great grandkids; bestfriends Glam, Cherokee and Bozo; a special daughterin-law, Donetta; god daughters, Teah, Towanda and Ronnie, and a very large host of family and friends.
