Willie McNair Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

WILLIE EVANS MCNAIR was born on December 11, 1952, Maryland to the late Willie and Mildred C. McNair. He departed this life at home in Greensboro, North Carolina on Monday June 6, 2022. In November of 1971 he was blessed with his pride and joy, his son Brandon. In the mid-1970 Mickey trained in the Baltimore City fire Department Ceta Program to become a Paramedic, assigned to Ambulance 8. In 1979 Mickey relocated to Burlington, North Carolina to assist his mother in the care of his grandmother Jessie Compton. There he resided with his mother until her passing. Mickey’s career in North Carolina was that of a Technician at Labcorp for more than 30 years. Although Mickey resided in North Carolina, Baltimore was always home to him. He loves visiting with son, his daughter-in-law, grandchildren and the rest of the Baltimore family and friends. Many of his friends have gone on to glory and are waiting to meet him a the pearly gates of heaven. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Mildred McNair and his brother Ronald McNair. He leaves to carry his memory on: his son, Brandon; daughter-in-law, LaTrenda; grandchildren Brittany, Brandon and Brejona; great-grandchildren, Jhada, Jordynn and Baby Brandon; special cousins, Jimmy and Edna of North Carolina and Annette of Baltimore, Maryland; nieces and nephews, Ronald Jr., Jason and Stacey of Baltimore; his extended Baltimore family, Jewell (Brandon’s mom), Irene and Allison. Mickey’s North Carolina extended family includes Ms. Iris, Jackie. Timothy, Tracy and Latoya Morrow, and Jeffrey Hatifield, his good Friend June, and his two little buddies McKenzie Murphy and Promise Currie. Mickey’s jovial laughter, his endless smile and just him being himself will be greatly missed but held close in our hearts for we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
