    Viola Christine Prosser

    October 10, 1927 - May 4, 2022

On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, Viola Christine Prosser bravely answered the call of King Jesus and joined Him. She was peacefully called to glory in the comfort of her home and was surrounded by so much love. Viola was born on October 10th, 1927 in Goochland County, Virginia to the late Bumsy and Francis Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Moses Prosser; siblings Gus, Calvin, and Evelyn Johnson, son Larry Prosser and devoted friend Frances Manuel. At an early age, Viola accepted Christ as her personal savior and devoted her life to Christ. She was educated in the Goochland County Public School system. In 1947, she married Moses Prosser and this union was blessed with eight children. Viola was a hard worker and was outspoken, loyal, and feisty. She was passionate and loved her family through good and bad times. Viola was blessed beyond measure and was the matriarch of a five-generation lineage. Many will miss her presence and infectious laugh. She is survived by five daughters, Corine Anderson, Blanch Howard (Roger), Evelyn Boyd, Dorothy, and Cheryl Prosser; two sons, Charles (Tonya) and Glen Prosser; two sisters-in-law, Martha Johns and Betty Shipman; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Until We Meet Again Author - Unknown We'll think about you always, We'll talk about you still, You have never been forgotten, And you never will. We hold you close within our hearts And there you will remain, To walk and guide us through our lives, Until we meet again.
