“Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near...” Isaiah 55:6 VALERIE ELIZABETH COLEMAN transitioned on the Wings of an Angel, from Earth to Glory October 23, 2021. She was born to Victor and Dorothy Jones on May 4, 1954, Baltimore Maryland. Her parents preceded her in death. Valerie was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and received her Diploma from Frederick Douglass Senior High School. For 20 years, Valerie was employed with the Verizon phone company from which she retired after rendering faithful service to the Verizon Corporation. In August 14, 1992 Valerie was united in Holy Matrimony to the Love of her life Robert Coleman. For 29 years, Valerie loved and was dedicated to her Marriage, and her life partner and confidante. This harmony in their Marriage was so obvious that many in her circle of friends, family and co-workers, desired this kind of cohesive relationship that Valerie and her husband (Man) enjoyed. Valerie children were her Pride and Joy. She showered overwhelming love on them all, especially, her son Allen whom she fondly named (Goonie) and her son Sean Coleman. Valerie was an adoring, and committed, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Valerie was raised in a Christian home, and made a public confession, accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized at Sacred Zion Baptist Church 2015 under the late Bishop Bertha Green. Along her journey Valerie effective influence made a difference in the many lives she touched, because Valerie often spoke positive words of encouragement to those who were despondent. Valerie a fun-loving person, definitely lived her life as she enjoyed the journey. Often traveling with her husband, they took pleasure in visiting other cities and states. They frequently boarded the Carnival or Royal Caribbean cruise ships, traveling to The Islands they enjoyed. They took delight and pleasure in learning about the Islands sights and sounds of other cultures. When they weren’t traveling, Valerie’s passion was watching TV game shows, dancing, enjoying family outings, crab feasts and all kind of fun filled activities. If Valerie was upset, you certainly knew it by her facial expressions. Her eyes bulged and her lips twisted indicating “GET THIS RIGHT, OR ELSE”. Valerie also had a great appreciation for literature and in her quiet times, you could find her curled up reading her favorite books or novels. An avid fan for the Baltimore Ravens, proved that Football, was another one of Val-Gal major passions, as long as her Ravens were playing and winning. Valerie leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband Robert Coleman; (2) devoted sons Allen (Goonie) Montgomery (Kim), Sean Coleman (Joann) (5) sisters, Victoria, Carolyn, Gloria Jones, Joyce Alton (Robert) Angela Coleman (Thomas); (12) grandchildren, (12) great-grandchildren, oldest niece Ronda Jones; and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephew cousins and friends.
