    Terrance Kenyatta Caple

    January 4, 1976 - January 29, 2022

Terrance (Fuji) Kenyatta Caple was born January 4, 1976, in Chesterfield, South Carolina. He passed away in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 29, 2022. As a young boy growing up in a multi-generational home in Cairo, NC, Terrance was surrounded by love. He was always full of life, energy and enjoyed all the beautiful simplicities of life as a country boy. He spent his childhood making memories alongside his sister, cousins, and friends. Picking blackberries, making mud pies, playing pitty-pat and tag – all barefoot and carefree. Walking to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Sunday School with Great Grandma Hattie, gardening and pulling weeds, enduring Aunt Sherry’s bald haircuts, enjoying the fruits of his labor like a juicy peach on the front porch. And of course, the occasional switch when he needed to be reminded of his manners, which was often! Terrance had a love for all sports, especially basketball and was thrilled to play for his high school team, Anson Senior High. He was also a huge Carolina Panthers fan and was excited about Cam’s return. After graduating high school in 1994, Terrance joined the United States Air Force, as he had a strong desire to serve his country. Terrance lit up every room he entered with his charm, energy, and charisma. These traits served him well in his post-military career as a car salesman. Terrance met the love of his life, Brenette (Lucky) Sabedra, in the Year 2006, and they spent the last 16 years building a life together, with loving family and friends. He was a loving “Pop Pop” and adored his grandchildren, speaking of them often with pride and enthusiasm. From the day Terrance & Lucky met it was magical. Memories were created that will last forever. From the weekly date nights, to the weekend trips or just hanging out to pass time these love birds were always together. He never missed a doctor’s appointment with Lucky and made sure he was always there to ensure the family was taken care of, especially the grandkids. Terrance was always there to put a smile on everyone’s face. He was always the life of the party. Terrance never met a stranger he did not get along with, building life-long friends wherever he went. He was the textbook definition of an extrovert, gaining energy from everyone he met. Be they babies, seniors, or a homeless person on the corner, Terrance genuinely loved talking to everyone. Seriously, Everyone. He made you feel like you were the center of his attention and would offer his advice freely to anyone willing to share a conversation. Terrance adopted those he met into his family, giving you a title – big brother, little sister, auntie, uncle, punk, etc. His network of family and friends was boundless, and so he leaves many to grieve his loss. Terrance was the son of the late Pam Caple and Clyde Hamilton. Upon the passing of his mother, Terrance was raised by his aunt/second mom Brenda Caple Hall and dad Anthony Hall. He also leaves behind his beloved fiancé, Brenette (Lucky) Sabedra; five children, Janae Sturdivant, Jomand McKnight, Essence McKnight, Sabrina Sabedra, and Corrina Sabedra; five grandchildren, A’Marie Sabedra-Johnson, Samir Harris, Mason Sabedra-Williams, Nylah Gaddy, and Myles Gaddy; grandmother, Geraldine Caple; godmother Delores Little; sister, Yolanda Lindsay (Dedric); brother, Travis Hall; godbrother, Maurice Little (Linda); four aunts, Faye Capel, Carol Caple, Sherry Caple Cash (Eugene), Jessica Caple; two uncles, Wayne Caple and Anthony Caple to mourn his passing; along with numerous cousins, family and friends who loved him. Terrance was welcomed home by his beloved mother, Pam; grandson, Daylon Sabedra-Harris; grandma, Alice Caple; grandad, Jesse (Snap) Caple; great grandparents Charlie & Hattie Caple, who preceded him in death. Our hearts ache and yet we are grateful for his peace. May God Bless him and may he rest in everlasting peace and joy. We will meet him in Heaven; he was “just passing by, this was not his home.” May God be glorified, even as we grieve our loss for Terrance. Thank you for your prayers. Love. Family. Peace.
