September 6, 1946 - June 6, 2021
SANDRA ODELL FORD (affectionately known as Sandy) was blessed by God with the call to home, peacefully in her sleep after suffering various illnesses, on Sunday, June 6, 2021. Sandy, the eighth child of the late Curtis Anderson and Marie Parker Anderson, was born on September 6, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland. Sandy was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She received her Baltimore City high school diploma in 1966 graduating from Vocational School #452 where she studied cosmetology and sewing. Sandy’s spiritual guidance began at home and she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior early in life. She was baptized at Cherry Hill First Baptist Church. Although Sandy’s health and the COVID pandemic limited her ability to attend services in person, she nurtured her faith by reading her bible and attending virtual church services. Sandy was a very talented entertaining and crafty person. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, singing, coloring, watching westerns, telling jokes, laughing, puzzles and having a good time. Sandy loved to crochet. She used her crafty talents bringing to life specific made-to-order blankets for whoever it was promised. She put great thought into her blankets for each person, family member, doctor, nurse, caregiver, and friends. Sandy also recently started painting. She was preceded in death by three brothers: George C. Anderson, Charles W. Anderson and Willie M. Anderson. She will be lovingly remembered by: her daughter, Lynetrice Yvette Anderson and her son, Anthony Leroy Taylor; two grandchildren, Kevin Isaiah Spruill and Cassandra Yvette Brown; ten great-grandchildren, Kevin Isaiah Spruill, Jr., KyMera Markia Spruill, Devone Malaki Washington, DaNiya DaNae Patterson, DaNasia Yvette Patterson, Calib Amir Richardson, Chaunti Truth Wallace, Cachaun Autumn Wallace, Kyree Tavon Brown, Khyion Joe Brown, Khalani Lynette Brown, and Isaiah Tavon Brown. Sandy also leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, Percy R. Anderson, Sr.; five sisters, Olive V. Hosey, Gloria A. Shorter, Marion (Jean) Calloway, Deborah L. Evans and Kathy G. Anderson; and her aunt, Neola Edwards (Beverly, New Jersey); a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
