Rudolph Montgomery

October 1, 1943 - November 22, 2021

When we think of the sunset, let us think of the sunset, let us think of that peaceful time of day when hearts can rest in the calm of knowing our Heavenly Father is very near. Rudolph was born on October , 1943 to Dever Benjamin Montgomery and Flonnie Mae Elmore- Montgomery in Baltimore, Maryland. Rudolph was child number 12 and special to the family. On Monday, November 22, 2021 an angel of mercy descended and gently lifted from our midst our beloved brother, brother-in-law and uncle from our midst, RUDOLPH MONTGOMERY. His nurse indicated to the family that when Rudolph passed, he gently slipped away without a struggle. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Rudolph went on work at the Bugle Laundry, Johns Hopkins Hospital and Stop Shop and Save. He would encounter many people during his time of employment. Rudolph endured many hardships and pains, but through it all God was gracious to him. Rudolph rejoined the Gospel Spreading Church of God on April 5, 2005, the church of his youth. Rudolph found himself once again loving to attend the churches as well as Sunday School. He enjoyed going out with the Fruit Committee to visit with the other sick and shut-in saints. He was excited about his service to the Lord. he love talking, thanking and praising the Lord for what God had done and what God was continuing doing in his life. Rudolph will be missed by many. He was always very friendly and kind. He always knew someone, or someone would recognize him wherever he went. People would often speak to him because they remember him from his days of working at Johns Hopkins Hospital or from working at Stop, Shop, and Save Grocery Store. He tried to help others. Over the many years of Rudolph's illness, his loving sister accompanied by her husband faithful and consistently visited him to take care of his needs and supply some of his wants. Rudolph enjoyed eating and would often state, "If I am not eating, I am sick". he leaves to cherish wonderful memories: a loving sister, Barbara E. Montgomery; brother-in-law, Freddie Eugene Rodgers of Portsmouth Virginia; a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and his church family.
