    Roy Adair Carroll

    December 12, 1959 - March 24, 2021

Roy Adair Carroll (aka Roy Lee), son of the late Ethel and Samuel Carroll Jr.(Biological father Book T. Griffin) was born on December 12, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 after a lengthy. Roy received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. At a young age Roy regularly attended Sunday School and Church services at Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was a member of the youth choir. As a young man Roy enjoyed playing Cards, chess, basketball, football and fighting. He was most passionate about singing. Two of his favorite R&B artists were Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandross. Roy loved a good crab cake and potato salad. He would often say, "I never play with food I eat it." After receiving his GED Roy went into the Army for a brief period of time. He was discharged after beating up his commanding officer. "Roy did not play, he loved a good fight." He was certainly the protector of his siblings. After returning home from the military Roy became a skilled carpenter. He worked at various companies but eventually became independently employed. Roy took pride in his work and loved to show others what he was building. Roy was certainly a lady's man. He loved all the ladies regardless of color, shape or size; and was not shy about letting them know how special they were to him. Although Roy was rough and tough on the outside he was a loving uncle who enjoyed showering his nieces and nephews with lots of candy and gifts. Roy was preceded in death by brother Henry Carroll, brother-in-law, Dwayne Pendelton and sister Pernell Clayton. Memories of Roy will forever linger in the hearts of his loving family: sisters, Van Lean Lee, Pastor Wonda Cofield, Gail Pedelton; brothers, Joseph (Cheryl), Kenneth (Tia) and Thomas Corey (North Carolina); sister/nieces, Patricia, Tammy and Stephanie; special cousin, Curtis Parham, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and a host of relatives and friends.
