Rosalind D. Crawford

March 30, 1966 - January 30, 2022

ROSALIND DENISE CRAWFORD, daughter of the late James Albert Crawford and Susan Ethelean Dukes-Hester, was born on March 30, 1966 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on January 30, 2022 after a long struggle with mental illness. Rosalind was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools, and because of her illness, she was facilitated off and on in several institutions. From 2008 until Rosalind’s death, Creative Alternatives helped her live successfully in assisted-living homes. Rosalind loved music and dancing, but gospel music was her favorite. Rosalind’s weekly phone calls were to place her favorite food orders, McDonald’s #1, Chic-fl-a chicken box and a Coke, then she would say, “Don’t forget the chips!” Rosalind leaves to mourn: matriarchs, Phosia Johnson of Columbia, SC, Ernestine Thompson of Bartlesville, OK, Maggie Jennings of Baltimore, MD and Pearlie Mae Dukes of Troy, NY; other aunts, Ernestine (John) Bullock of Troy, NY, Joyce “Aunt Regina” (Hilda Harris) Dukes, Valrie Hounshell, Yvonne Dukes and Joyce A.
