Robert received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Robert met Shirley in 1960. She was twelve and he was thirteen years old. They were later married on October 8, 1966. Robert worked for Burns and Russell Steel on South Central Avenue in his younger ears. He later worked for Armco Steel for over twenty years until they closed. Robert “Bugg” had a lot of good friends over the years, which most of them have passed. He also had a lot of friends and was well known in the old neighborhood where we grew up. He could be sweet and sour, will cuss you out at sometime and live you what you needed if he had it. He was a showoff when he had money being a big spender. He was also known for jokingly pulling out his little pocket knife and saying “Give me some money before I cut you”. Robert leaves to mourn: his wife, Shirley Parker; sister, Shirley Paige; children, Sharon R. Parker-Gibbs and Sean R. Parker, Sr.; grandchildren, Qusean Parker, Tiara Marshall, Tyreke Murphy, Anthony Jones, Sean Brooks Jr., Michael Pugh, Derick Parker, Robert Parker Ill, Kanesha Gaston, Brittly Faulkner, Malike Parker, Jasmine Parker, Steven Parker, Sean Parker Jr., Ra’sean Parker, Taysean Parker, Wordell Blackwell, Desean Parker, Aseantay Parker, Seanece Parker, Sean M. Parker, Shanelle Parker, Eseana Parker and Ashley Alston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Robert was preceded in death by: his children, Valerie M. Parker and Robert Parker Jr.; brothers, Ruffus Hatcher and June Berry; sister, Beulah Berry; and grandchildren, Dontay Parker and Tyrell Parker.
