Ringoldia Estella Ranson Burrell, was born in Dundalk, MD on December 5, 1936 to the late Reverend Shirley and Ringolda Ranson. "Ring" or "Ringo", as she was affectionately known by her family and friends,was called from her earthly home on May 18,2021. In addition to her parents and her husband, all eleven of her brothers and sisters, Melvin, Shirley Jr. (Blunt), Milton (WHeaty), Elgin (TeeTop), Harold, Edward Mushy), Norman (Skinner), Annie Bernice, Cassie (Noy), Glorious, and Delores (Lodie) Ring in death. At an early age, Ringodia accepted and gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized. She was a long-time faithful member of the Galilee Baptist Church, where she held numerous positions, such as Church Secretary for over 50 years. Missionary Treasure Flower Circle Ministry, Nurse Ministry, Drama Ministry, Golden Age Ministry, the Joy Bells and sang on the Serene Gospel Choir and Voices of Galilee under the direction of her father for many years until his death, continuing under Rev. Douglas Wilson until her death. She participated and graduated from Master Life class. Ringoldia grew up on Norris Lane in Dundalk, MD. There she was the very first black to graduated from Dundalk High School in 1956 and was documented in a TV segment on the PBS channel on Historians after segregation. After high school. Ring was employed by Social Security Administration where she served for 35 years before retirement. On June 1, 1958, Ringoldia married her high school sweetheart Walter Bernard Burrell, Sr. and from this union they were blessed with three children. Walter, Jaunita and Wanda. Today as we celebrate this special home-going, we reunite Ringoldia and Walter on their 63rd Wedding Anniversary. Ring was the President for many years of the Young's Family Reunion committee. She was on of the firs member of the Calvin Statham Gospel Singers. Ringo loved to travel. He normal routine was getting up early and getting dressed for the day so that she would be ready to go whenever a car moved. In the last year, she traveled to Hawaii and celebrated her last birthday in Punta Cena, Dominican Republic. She always loved to eat a good Maryland crab cake. Ringoldia was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother. She enjoyed life and loved helping people. She had a smile that would brighten any room. Ring always taught her children to trust in the Lord and look to HIM for strength and guidance. This important value was drilled into her family daily. She will be sorely missed. Ringoldia leaves to cherish her loving memory: three children, Walter Burrell-Mosley (son-in-law Charles Mark preceded her in death), and Wanda Burrell; three grandchildren, Ja'Juan, Erica and Lauryn Burrell; one great-grandchild, Jerrod; stepmother, Mildred Ranson; stepsister , Shirle Hughes; brother-in-law, Elder Warren Burrell; two sister-in-law, Lorette Mason and Virginia Burrell; and a host of nieces,nephew, other relatives and many many friends.
