Rebecca Hurt White

Rebecca Hurt White, daughter of the late Arthur -Alpheus Carter and Betty Walkins Carter was born June 5, 1936 in Meherrin, Virginia. Rebecca received her education at Versa Elementary School and continued at Russell Morton High in Farmville, Virginia. She later moved to Baltimore, Maryland and became employed at Keswick Nursing Home of Baltimore. She worked there as a GNA for 35 years and retired in 1986. Rebeca met and married Leonard White, who preceded her in death. From this union, they had one son, Daniel T. Wilkens. She also united with the Ark Church of Baltimore, under the leadership of Pastor Carter, for many years. Rebecca was affectionately known for entertaining her family and friends during the Christmas Holidays. Rebecca was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived her life nurturing others and caring for them. Her favorite pastime was listening to gospel music and watching Family Feud. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age ill. Rebecca leaves to cherish memory one son and one daughter-in-law Daniel T. Wilkens and Diane Wilkens three grandchildren Marlic, Aaliyah, and Daniel III Sisters Annie Morton, Mary Jane Walton, and Alredov Carter (Who preceded in death) one brother Arthur A. Carter, Jr. (Connie) Julia Walton (Robert) and Margaret Graham (Tommie) of Baltimore, Maryland Lizzie Williams (Rome RIP) of Meherrin, Virginia Claudette Eggleston (Herman) of Keysville, Virginia One great Aunt-Thelma Moon of Baltimore, Maryland host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends a devoted niece Veronica William
