    Raymond M. Brown

    January 21, 1961 - February 1, 2022

Raymond Monroe Brown, Sr. was born on January 21, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the 8th children born to Isiah and Annie Brown. He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Raymond joined the Marines immediately after graduating from Forest Park Senior High School. He received an honorable discharge in 1985. Raymond was a wonderful father to 3 cons, Raymond, Jr., Ryan, Sr. and Rayvon. He adored his 2 grandsons, Raymond, III and Ryan, Jr. Raymond was lovingly called Uncle Moe by his nieces, nephews and the children in the Ferndale neighborhood whom he card for like his own. But he was Raymond to our first niece and nephew, Valerie and Kevin, who think they are our siblings. He was the life of every gathering. Raymond loved to talk and make everyone laugh. We will miss his smile and sense of humor. Raymond truly loved his family and would walk to see them on a whim. If you wanted something done in your house or yard; a child taken to or from school; or to discuss the news or a tv show, call Raymond or he would call you. Raymond loved to share his time and talents with everyone. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, mother, niece Lakeysha, great nephews Elijah and Sadik, great niece Siedah and brother Wade Lucas Brown. His brother, Curtis, passed suddenly just 2 days after Raymond was called home. He leaves to cherish his memory: 3 sons, Raymond, Jr., Ryan, Sr. and Rayvon; 2 grandsons, Raymond, III and Ryan, Jr.; 7 sisters, Betty Barbara, Bernice (Billy), Irene, Marian, Deborah, and Tonya; 2 brothers, William, Sr. and Jonathan (Gloria); sister-in-law, Devon; 19 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; God sister, Gwenette Pettigrew; God brother, James; 2 aunts, Ella Frazier of Baltimore and Marian Dixon of Phenix City, Alabama; God daughter, Sunny; special friends, Lisa and Mr. T., The Ferndale Neighborhood Family and a host of other loving and devoted relatives and friends.
