Melva Webb Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

MELVA JONES WEBB was born in Baltimore. After graduating Towson State University, she spent her early career as an elementary school teacher, then joined the Social Security Administration where she served for many years. She married the late David Carroll Webb in 1967 and paused her career to raise her children. She was a gourmet cook whose adventurous dishes were much loved. Melva was an active member of St. Pius Catholic Church in her youth, then later in life when she returned to Maryland after 20 years spent living in Pennsylvania. She loved to travel, and toured Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Holy Land in Israel, Dubai, and the Western US. Melva is survived by her three loving children: Malcolm Webb, Terri Webb, and Kimberly Palacios; her brother, Louis Jones; her grandchildren: Nicholas and Maya Depies, and Alexander “Quinn” and Jasper “JJ” Palacios; her son-in-law, Brian Palacios; her sisters-in-law, Mary Webb and Wanda Govan; her brother-in-law, Jerry Govan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins across the United States. Melva will be remembered as an elegant, sophisticated, poised, loving, and strong woman
