Marzetta S. Hopkins Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marzetta Sandra Hopkins, affectionately known as "Marty"was born September 8th, 1939, to the late Arnrita and John Dean. Marzetta departed life and completed her journey on June 2, 2022. Marzetta received her primary education from the District of Columbia Public School System and completed her secondary education from Frederick Douglas High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Coppin State University. Marzetta worked a lengthy career with the Social Security Administration for 15 years until her retirement in 2006. Afterward she continued her career by working for the Baltimore City School S until 2017. stem as an educator for 11 additional years. One of her greatest pastimes was going to any number of casinos like those in Atlantic City , New Jersey and Las Vegas Nevada. She was extremely knowledgeable about the wide range of current events and loved to engage in stimulating conversations. She leaves to mourn her only child, Lisa J. Hopkins (husband Ja' Vann Stewart): Grandchildren, Daryl G. Addison, Jr., Aaron D.Jackson and Bianca J. Wilson: 2 sisters and one brother who proceeded her in death: Gloria Goodson , Johnie Thomas Lawrence Barnes; Three grandchildren Daryl G. Addison III, Jasmine G. Addison, and Kelis F. Addison ; Two nieces, Dawn Truesdale and Stacey Bates. And a host of cousins relatives and friends.
