    Mary Perry

    April 9, 1949 - April 25, 2022

On April 9, 1949, God gifted us with MARY JO BRYANT. She went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2022. Mary was born to the late Raleigh and Mabel Bryant in St. Stephen, South Carolina. The family later moved to Baltimore. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Venable High School. After graduation, she was employed at Oriole Cafeteria. Mary later worked and retired from Brookshire Hotel. Mary’s dedication to Brookshire Hotel was so exceptional that she was granted an Outstanding Employee Recognition Award due to her (ten) consecutive years of never being late or calling out. She accomplished all of this while catching the bus each day. On September 21, 1968, Mary married the love of her life, Willie Perry. From this union, their son (Little) Willie was born and preceded her in passing. Mary and Willie were married for over 53 years. Willie’s love for Mary was expressed through being her caretaker at their home until a couple weeks before her transition. Mary accepted Christ at a young age, and joined Huber Memorial Church in 2011 where she continued her Christian walk. She had a heart of gold and her affection and love for her family never went unnoticed. She particularly enjoyed family functions and loved engaging in conversations. Mary loved dancing and would not need a partner to dance. She was always the life of the party and full of life. Mary leaves to celebrate her memory, a devoted husband Willie, two grandchildren, Mya and Devin. Her siblings, Troy (Valinda), Lorraine and Avon (Elischa). Mary had two sisters, (Maudel and Anna v) and one brother(Raleigh, Jr.) who preceded her in passing. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
