    Marion C. Dover

    September 29, 1951 - October 6, 2021

Legacy of Life Marion C. Dover was born September 29, 1951, and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Marion joined Parrish Hill Baptist Church at an early age, being a faithful member until her illness. She was employed by the College of William and Mary for 48 years. William and Mary was home away from home. She thoroughly enjoyed talking and laughing with everyone. Her loving smile brought joy to those around her. During the Holiday season starting with Black Friday, one could find Marion C. Dover at the mall in Macy’s, Dillards, or Belk. She loved shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert N. Charity and Louise E. Charity of Charles City, Virginia; one sister, Blanche Brown; two brothers, Robert Charity Jr. and Lawrence Charity; one nephew, Thomas Brown Jr; and her two nieces, Zina R. Brooks and Maya Smith. She leaves to cherish her memories three wonderful son’s who never left her side, Bryant Charity, Shawn Charity and Khalid Dover, all of Richmond, VA; five sisters, Ernestine Bassett, Deloris Richards, Dorothy Brown, Francis Brooks and Barbara Smith, all of Charles City, VA; two sisters-in-law, Helen Charity and Doris Charity; four grandchildren, Raina Charity, Brysen Charity, Braylon Charity and Tyler Cooke; devoted friends, Marie Bell, Sharon Scott, Velvet Cowles, all of Williamsburg, VA and Curtis Adkins of Charles City; a devoted niece who was perceived by many as her sister Carol Brown, better known as “Sue”; and a host of family members and friends who loved her dearly.
