    Madeline Miles Madojutimi

    October 1, 1956 - March 25, 2021

Madeline Miles Madojutimi, transitioned to her heavenly home on March 25, 2021, at the age of 64. Madeline also known as “Lilmat”, and “Nana” was born to the late Curtis Brooks and Edith Miles on October 1, 1956. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred S. Holmes; nephew, Kirk Holmes; niece, Angela Miles; friends, Barbara Robinson and Remington Randolph. She grew up in the Church Hill area and attended the Richmond City Public School Systems. She then continued her education at Virginia Union University with an Early Childhood Major. She started working at MCV Hospital in 1977 as a Respiratory Therapist. She retired in 2009, as a Supervisor of Sterile Processing with 32 years of service. Madeline loved shopping at Walmart, cooking, playing her coloring game on her phone, and collecting designer purses. She never turned down anyone who needed a place to stay, something to eat, was in a financial situation or just needed words of advice. She loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, great granddaughter, family, and friends. She will truly be missed by many. Madeline leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted daughter, Harsheka Miles Scarborough and her husband, Michael; loving and devoted grandchildren, Daytiana Miles and Travis; Johnequea Whitaker and Edward; Tayshawn Miles-Mitchell and Katia; and Jala Phillips; loving and devoted great granddaughter and her angel, Layla Lawson; two sisters, Edith Smith, and Ernestine Miles (twin sister); two nephews, Ronnie Miles and Andrew Miles; four nieces, Chevonda Thaniels, Aisha Smith, Regneka Holmes, and Courtney Holmes; four great nephews, Ronshjae McCray, Jordan Mickins, Mason Miles and Ny’zir Mickins; great niece Azaria Mickins and a host of other relatives and friends.
