Her Legacy Lyndall Drucilla Braxton, 84, of 7447 Lake Terrell Drive, Mechanicsville, VA, received her wings on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 10:45 p.m. after a brief stay at Manor Care Nursing Facility. Lyndall was born on February 20, 1938, to Nathaniel H. Brown and Ira Lyndall Gilpin Brown in Richmond, VA. Lyndall attended Armstrong High School. After graduation, she attended Virginia Union University. She received Christ at an early age and joined the family church, Ebenezer Baptist Church on Leigh Street in Richmond, VA. For over 25 years, she has been a member of Mangohick Baptist Church. She was an usher and an active member of the Deaconess Board and retired in 2019. On December 13, 1957, Lyndall and Edward W. Braxton, Sr. were married in Elkton, MD, going on to have two children, Edward “Chuckie” W. Braxton, Jr. and Robert A. “Bobby” Braxton. Due to the travel and frequent moves, Lyndall decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. The family has travelled all over and lived in Japan, North Carolina, Washington, DC, Maryland, California and Richmond. Lyndall was predeceased by her parents, her dear husband Edward (Woody) Braxton, three brothers, Nathaniel, Bernard, and Joseph, and one sister (Natalie). She is survived by her two sons, Edward W. ‘Chuckie’ Braxton Jr. (Joyce) and Robert A. ‘Bobby’ Braxton (Lucy); five grandchildren, Wakita Pollard, Larry (L.T.) Braxton, Gabriel (Gabe) Braxton, Arshylle Kenny, and Taronica Kenny; ten great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two brothers, Charles A. ‘Puffy’ Brown (Patricia) and Daniel W. ‘Danny Boy’ Brown (Joyce); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
